Consonya Rogers is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a passion for supporting individuals on their mental health journey. With a comprehensive background in psychiatric care, Consonya is skilled in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of mental health disorders for patients across the lifespan. Consonya employs evidence-based therapeutic approaches, medications management, and a compassionate, person-centered approach to care.
Initially, Consonya obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Grambling State University. She then obtained a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama. Eventually, she went on to complete her certification for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner across the lifespan from Southeastern Louisiana University. She has experience working in various settings, including outpatient clinics, intensive outpatient programs, Assertive Community Treatment programs, and telehealth platforms, allowing for a flexible, adaptable approach to patient needs. In addition, prior to her becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked in a variety of healthcare settings as a registered nurse including long-term acute care, dialysis, skilled nursing, acute rehabilitation, med-surg, urgent care, and mental health.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Consonya will offer a wide range of mental health treatment such as complex PTSD, mood disorders, anxiety, and ADHD. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, exercising, and watching movies with her Shih Tzu, Sir Rudy.
